Agenda
Plenary Meeting January 26th
Dear Humanities Honours students and instructors,
The start of the new year is a great moment to reflect on life. What has happened in the past year? What will the future hold? And are there perhaps any things from the old year you want to bring into the new year? With that in mind, we would like to present the theme of the upcoming plenary meeting:
“In with the old into the new”
Multiple highly-talented speakers will join us on the 26th of January at 16:45 for this meeting. First off we have Prof. Edith Hall, an internationally renowned scholar of classics, who will shed a light on how Greek antiquity holds up in a modern context. She is joined by dr. Kila van der Starre, a literary scholar with passion for poetry, who will tell us about the incorporating of social media in this ancient art form. Last, but definitely not least of all of our speakers we have YOU!
During the second part of this plenary meeting HHP students will present their Terrreinverkenning/Honours Explorations tutorial projects. Everyone who did their tutorial this last period will have to prepare a short 5-minute presentation (possibly with a poster or powerpoint, your call) to show what they’ve done these last few weeks. We will divide the presenting people over several channels in different rounds so that it is possible to visit the presentations of your fellow students. In order for us to make this division we need to know what the topics of the different groups are so we would like to ask all of you to fill out this form as soon as possible. The deadline for this is Thursday January 21.
We look forward to seeing you the 26th!
Kind regards,
Merlijn Barkema, Johanna Eichler, Mirte Spaargaren, Max Trommelen, Ninnoc Wouters
