Poetry Evening: Anniversary of Afanasy Fet

On friday 4 December from 18:00 Angela Radić and Irina Morozova, both currently specializing in the field of Linguistics, organized a poetry evening to celebrate the 200th aniversary of the Russian poet Afanasy Fet.

Afanasy Fet is a renowned Russian poet, noted for his lyric verse and melacholic literary works. Although the university’s literary focus is directed towards the west, that does not mean that there is no room for eastern or Russian Literature. From the field of Linguistics, the beauty that is poetry knows no boundaries. Therefore Angela and Irina, with their interests in Russian poetry and Slavic languages combined, have created an evening of poetry and both literary and linguistic analysis for those who are interested to enjoy.
