Lezing: Lezen om te leven, leven om te lezen

Op 8 februari houdt Willem-Jan Otten de derde Kees Fens-lezing met de titel Lezen om te leven, leven om te lezen.

Willem-Jan Otten is schrijver, dichter en essayist. Hij zal een persoonlijk verhaal vertellen over leeflezers, over meelezende breinen, over de Japanse schrijver Shusaku Endo en vooral over zijn verhouding tot Kees Fens.

Kees Fens (1929-2008) was en is volgens velen de belangrijkste Nederlandse criticus en essayist van na de Tweede Wereldoorlog. Om de belangrijkste thema’s uit zijn literair-kritische en cultuurhistorische werk levend te houden, organiseert de Kees Fens Stichting in samenwerking met de Volkskrant de Kees Fens-Lezing.
